Gas Fireplace Service Boise
Gas fireplace service is a different job from a wood-chimney sweep.
This visit is the gas appliance: the pilot, the ignition, the flame, the gas logs, and cleaning of that unit. There is no creosote brush-out and no wood-flue sweep on this booking. If you burn wood, use the chimney sweep page instead.
Call this when the fireplace will not light, the flame looks wrong, the logs need service, or you want the gas unit cleaned. If you are not sure whether the problem is the gas set or the chimney around it, say that in the note. We will tell you if a chimney inspection should be booked as well. A gas repair quote does not include masonry, cap, or liner work.

Pilot and ignition
Pilot work is for a pilot that will not light or will not stay lit. Ignition work is for a spark or an electronic igniter that does not light the burner. We check the parts that start the fire and quote the repair for that unit. If a part has to be ordered, we say so. We do not leave the set taken apart and call that a finished repair.
Flame and gas logs
Flame work is for a burner that lights but burns unevenly, lifts off the burner, or does not cross the gas logs the way it used to. Gas log service covers logs that have shifted, cracked, or piled so the flame cannot travel the burner. We set the logs back in place and tell you if a log has to be replaced.
Cleaning
Gas fireplace cleaning is the burner area, the logs, and the accessible interior of the firebox on a gas unit. Dust and debris in that space get removed so the burner can do its job. This is not chimney cleaning. A wood-burning flue is not part of this visit. If you also want the chimney looked at, ask for an inspection as a second line on the form.

How the visit goes
We look at the fireplace and the chimney opening only as they relate to the gas set. The pilot, burner, logs, and controls are the point of the look.
We protect the work area. The hearth and the floor in front of the gas fireplace are covered before we open the unit.
We do the booked service. That is pilot, ignition, flame, gas log, or cleaning work you named on the quote. We do not convert the visit into a wood sweep.
We tell you what was found: what we adjusted, what we cleaned, and any part that still needs a quote.
